Terms of Service

Last updated: May 15, 2026

By using Duudi you agree to the things below. We've kept them short and human. If anything is unclear, email hello@duudi.app.

What Duudi is

Duudi is a web-based workspace for solo freelancers — a place to keep tasks, notes, invoices, meetings, and clients in one calm interface. We are not your accountant, your legal counsel, or your tax authority.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your password (or Google account) secure.
  • One person per account. Don't share credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Duudi.
  • Use a real, working email — we may need to reach you about your account.

Your content

  • You own everything you create in Duudi — your notes, tasks, invoices, all of it.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, render, and back up your content so we can show it back to you.
  • If you publish a note via a public /share/ link, you also grant Duudi a non-exclusive license to serve that content to anyone who visits the link.
  • We don't read, mine, sell, or train AI on your content.
  • You are solely responsible for content you upload, store, or share. Don't put anything in Duudi you don't have the right to use — including copyrighted work you don't own, private information about other people, or material that violates the law.
  • You indemnify Duudi against any claim brought by a third party (copyright holder, government, the person you wrote about) arising from your content or your use of the service.

Reporting content + takedowns

Public /share/ links are user-published content. If you see a shared note that infringes copyright, contains illegal material, harasses someone, exposes private data, or otherwise breaks our acceptable-use rules, report it from the link to the right of the share page footer, or email abuse@duudi.app.

Your report should include the share URL, what you believe is wrong with it, your name and contact email, and a good-faith statement that the report is accurate. We review every report and aim to act on valid ones within a few business days; we prioritize anything that signals immediate harm.

When a report is valid we may revoke the share link, delete the underlying note, suspend the user who posted it, or all three. Accounts whose content is taken down repeatedly are terminated. If your content was taken down and you believe the report was wrong, email us and we'll review the original notice — there's no automated counter-notice form yet.

We're a small team with no obligation to monitor content proactively. We rely on user reports + our own discretion to remove content that breaks the rules.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Use Duudi for illegal activity, harassment, or fraud.
  • Send spam through share links, invoices, or any other feature.
  • Scrape, automate, or rate-bomb the service.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to circumvent our security measures.
  • Impersonate other people or organizations.
  • Upload malware, exploits, or content designed to harm other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The service

  • Duudi is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee 100% uptime, zero bugs, or any specific outcome from using it.
  • We may change, add, or remove features. We'll try to give notice for material changes.
  • We rely on third parties (Cloudflare, Neon, Google) — their outages affect us. We can't promise around them.
  • Back up critical work elsewhere too. Duudi exports notes as Markdown and invoices as PDF — use those.

Pricing

  • The Free tier is currently provided at no cost.
  • Paid Pro features may be introduced in the future. We'll notify you in advance.
  • What's currently free will stay free for existing accounts — we won't paywall features you already rely on.

Termination

  • You can stop using Duudi anytime by emailing us to delete your account.
  • We may terminate your access if you materially violate these terms.
  • When an account is deleted, all associated data is removed from our database.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Duudi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. If we are liable for any reason, our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) $50 USD or (b) the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that can't be resolved through good-faith conversation goes to courts in Malaysia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll bump the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, surface a notice the next time you sign in. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
